WebVisited on Sunday 14th June 2024 for a lovely walk around Norsey Wood's. No bluebells this time but an interesting walk on the other side, i.e. as you enter the site we walked on WebNorsey Woods. Norsey Wood is 175 acres of ancient coppiced sweet chestnut, oak and hornbeam woodland with alder carr in the wet valleys. This is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Local Nature Reserve and a Scheduled Monument. The wood is divided by rides or pathways many of which are thought to date back to Iron Age times.
