Yes, the Thunder makes this very easy, but it can be done on all carbs with secondary air doors. As for the Edelbrock being a small Holly, what a load of nonsense. Look, a 600cfm carb flows 600cfm no matter who made it. WebJun 25, 2010 · Add a quicker Accelerator pump shot first. No, as in driving the car on the street. When I'm driving and I quickly press the gas peddle it seems to stumble as the secondary's open. Even if I'm driving at 20 MPH and open the throttle all the way very quick. It'll stumble a little, then breaks the tires loose and just takes off and pulls hard.

Try tightening (slowing the secondary opening) the screw with big steps, say, a quarter of a turn at a time. When the bog goes away, loosen the screw 1/16 of a turn until the bog comes back.
